Matteo's is my favorite pizza place. They have wonderful, personalized service and know what I want the moment I walk in the door. I love going there and getting a personal pan pizza -- Garlic Jim's only offers a large for gluten free pizza! Their crust is great, their toppings are great, it's all great. I can get a small pizza and my boyfriend who is not celiac can get a small pizza -- it's pretty much the only pizza he'll eat now because he likes it so much. We've been spoiled by Matteo's.

I tried a pizza from Matteo's tonight and I thought it was quite GOOD. I didn't think the crust was overly thick and the sauce and toppings were all very tasty. I ordered sausage, mushroom and spinach. The spinach and mushrooms were both fresh and the sausage was crumbles and not big pieces. Maybe they have changed the recipe! They also had some gluten free baked goods on the counter that a local woman bakes for them. I tried a brownie and that is the only thing that I don't recommend from my visit to Matteo's. I will definitely go back and have another pizza!!!

I like Matteos and love the service there. But I do like Garlic Jim's better. If you get a pizza from them online, you can get a coupon. I got one on my pizza box for $9.99 for a large three topping + $3 for gf. I think it was a good deal. Cheaper than the advertized price. I like the family feel of Matteos, but the service has been great at Garlic Jim's too.

We also did not like Matteo's GF pizza! Gross - and expensive! Garlic Jim's in Cool Springs has now introduced GF pizza and I must say, it is quite good! It was a thinner crust but really good all together. Check them out!

Also, we have tried Sami's flax & millet pizza crust (order online - http://www.samisbakery.com/) and loved it. Taste, texture, etc. are very comparable to Mamma Mia's or DiGiorno. However, there is a contamination risk as noted on the packaging. My husband is just gluten intolerant and can have tiny, tiny amounts of gluten and Sami's was great.
