She was looking at this site before I came to get some ideas of where we could go. She knows I love frys and was really excited to see this post. We went there and our server said their fries are NOT GF. They dont have a dedicated fryer. Also they have "Homemade Potato Chips" on the gf menu, but actually they are fried in the same fryer as breaded things; they said they needed to change the menu. So, after I read Amanda's post, I decided to give Bricktops another try last night. I thought perhaps my waiter was mistaken last time when he told me I couldn't eat the fries. I told the waitress about my gluten intolerance and I asked her specifically about the fries. She said they are NOT gluten free. She said fries are one of the few things they don't make in house. The fries come in a box and they have a coating to make them crunchier. She said the box clearly says the coating on the fries contains gluten. I was disappointed that I couldn't eat the fries, but I still had a great meal. I had the chicken salad (without the wontons) and deviled eggs for an appetizer. It was really good. I never got an email response from them and haven't been back recently. That is what I was told when I was there though and that since nothing else was fried in it that it was in fact gluten free since they did not add anything else to it. Very disappointing. I like to go to Five Guys Burgers and Fries for french fries (and burgers without the bun). They only fry potatoes so there is no risk of cross contamination.
